I'm an independent Medicare Supplement agent based right here in The Villages, in the middle of Florida. Independent means I'm contracted with the state's major carriers and captive to none of them. When we sit down together, you're looking at the whole table of rates, not the one company someone assigned me to sell.
Before insurance, I spent years as an entrepreneur, building and running my own businesses, including a dental practice. That background is why I run this agency the way I do: I like a clean process, a straight answer, and a client who understands exactly what they're buying and why. Insurance shouldn't feel like a mystery, and with a Medicare Supplement it doesn't have to be. Every Plan G in Florida is the same policy by law. My job is comparing the prices behind it and explaining the trade-offs in plain English, not selling you on a brand.
How I'm paid
Here's the part most agents don't lead with. The insurance carrier pays me a commission when you enroll, and that commission is roughly the same no matter which carrier you choose. Your premium is identical whether you buy through me or go straight to the company yourself. What you're adding by working with me is someone who ran the comparison first, explained it honestly, and is still here next year when your renewal letter shows up with a new number on it.
